December General Assembly | 12.12.2024

Trade Promotion Europe held its last General Assembly of 2024 in Budapest on December 12 and 13, bringing together members and experts to discuss key trade issues, sustainability and supply chain challenges.

The event kicked off with a joint session of the Sustainability and Supply Chains Working Groups, where participants shared ideas on how to improve trade resilience and promote sustainable practices. Opening remarks from TPE President Anne Lanigan, Chair of Sustainability WG László Örlős, and Supply Chain WG Chair Franck Toussaint set the tone for some engaging discussions on raw materials, critical supply chains, and the role of TPOs in driving change.

Throughout the event, attendees explored how changing EU trade policies are impacting European businesses and shared strategies for supporting sustainable trade promotion. These discussions also explored the importance of collaboration, highlighting the opportunity for everyone working together to strengthen global trade.

The General Assembly also provided a chance to look back on the progress made in 2024, as well as to set priorities for 2025. It wrapped up with a look at the future of governance and the exciting opportunities for European TPOs to collaborate moving forward.

A big thank you to all our members and speakers for their valuable contributions. We look forward to continuing our work together in 2025!
